There were many cosplayers at PAX. Eldenath loves costume play, so this made her very happy.

These guys had the most amazing Ghostbusters outfits. Movie accurate.
Not only was their costuming accurate, it was also powered; the lights worked, though if it had sound, I could not hear it over the din of PAX itself.

This was an incredibly happy find - the booth of Twisted Pixel.

These are the guys that made the wonderful XBOX Arcade games The Maw and  Splosion Man. I adore both of these games.

I bought Maw stuffies, and resin statues of  both the Maw and Splosion Man as well. They really liked hearing how much I love their work. This was an especially nice thing -  at PAX you can talk to the creators of games and they will actually have time to listen!
On the left, Josh Bear, the Chief Creative Officer, on the right Mike Henry, Lead Engineer.

I assure you that at E3, you wouldn't meet the actual guys who do the work very often. Just asshat execs from corporate. PAX is better!
Hey - check this cosplayer out: Crimson Viper from Street Fighter 4!
She did an amazing job, Elde and I both agreed; just like the character.
I was very interested to try out Left 4 Dead 2. It was very crowded, but I managed to finally get to play it. Eldenath even wheedled a tee-shirt, which we gave to Sandi when we got home.
Stephen and I have been playing the original game every day pretty much since it came out. We love Left 4 Dead.

The sequel looks to be really, really good.
I like the fact that Valve didn't mess with the basic gameplay; they didn't change it for the sake of changing things. Instead, there is just more, new stuff, and better everything in all areas. I think that in a sequel, that is exactly what I want; more, new, and better. If I liked the original, I want more. I don't want a different game altogether, I want more. That's the point of a sequel, dammit!
